Heroes are part of each of our lives. We all want someone to look up to and when you find a hero even the things they say are important. One of my heroes has been Jim Elliot. It's funny that he would be a hero because he never accomplished what he wanted to do, and yet his zeal and life have lived on. His most famous quote is one that is like a rally cry for many passionate about their faith and it's a quote I think of often. He wrote,

"He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose."
.........
That statement of values has changed and shaped many lives including mine. My hero and quote for the day comes from Jim. Thanks for leading the way for so many of us.
