It's Christmas morning
The sun is just creeping over the horizon
I've been up for hours
reading
thinking
praying
wondering
How great is this love
we celebrate today
that God would
give his son for us
How amazing it is
that he would love us
to such a sacrifice
Sadly I take it too lightly
at times
I celebrate the day
with family
friends
food
and gifts
But I forget
the love
that should
overwhelm me
with joy
amazement
and worship
How amazing is the God
who loved us so much
I wonder if I will ever
really understand
how great his love really is
