Graduation day!
My dear dad finished his race this evening and went home to be with the Lord. It's strange to even write those words, but I'm thrilled for him!
He lived well.
He loved God.
He loved his family.
I will see him again one day, but for tonight I am feeling sorrow at the death of my dad and yet there is a sense of celebration because I know he is more alive now than he has ever been!

A picture is worth a thousand words seems true here. I can see kindness and joy in him. I have also had the great pleasure and honor to have his son mentor me for over a decade now. If that says anything about him, his character, and/or how he raised you....compliments abound. I am sorry for your loss and remain available to you if you need anything.
Thank you, dear friend, I will call as I need you. Thank you for your gracious words.
Ecclesiastes 7:1 - A good name is better than fine perfume, and the day of death better than the day of birth.
For a man who has loved God, loved others, lived well and served Him this verse makes perfect sense. What a testimony to a life well lived.....and then to hear "well done thou good and faithful servant." Awesome....
