I plan to retire...right after lunch on the day I die! Until then I'm here to serve God, love people and talk about Jesus!

Monday's cartoon
It's interesting to me how often the theology of our day is not based on scripture at all. It happens in every generation. I thought you would enjoy this funny illustration of bad theology and its result.
I just finished a book entitled "The Heavenly Man" about a Christian brother's life in China and the house church ministry there. I absolutely recommend that every believer read it. He and his family are currently in the West and his observations on the Western church are worth listening to. His call for revival is to read/study/know the word of God and then obey what He tells us from it. If we do that, he says, we will see great revival.
It is a deeply challenging read that will confront and hopefully change what most people think Christianity is all about.
Brandon, that is a truly wonderful book. I really enjoyed it and was amazed at how God worked in his life. I have the follow-up book to it, but haven't read it yet.
Mike, I love Pearls before Swine. I especially love "Pig." He is just so stupid. But totally endearing to me...
