Person of the year 2007

The person of the year for 2007 is not one, but one represents them all. They are all the men and women who are risking their lives to protect our country and those in Iraq, Afganistan and other places around the globe. My nephew is one of them, and although war is never the best choice there are times in a fallen world when it is forced upon us. War is a horrible thing, and yet these men and women are risking everything to serve their country. For their sacrifice and service they are the person of the year 2007. Thank you all for your great sacrifice for us all.

(I don't care what Time magazine says. I'm right and they are wrong on this one. Putin as man of the year? I don't think so!)

Mike,

Thanks for posting on my blog. I always like to click through on the people who post to see what they are writing and where they are coming from.

I really agree with this post! I get TIME Magazine and was shocked that Putin got "Person of the Year." After reading their explanation, I still don't get it. I imagine they will get lots of letters complaining this year.

I agree with your nomination. Thanks!

And what a great picture! It reminds me of so many of the men who fought for us in WWII.

Mike,
Your choice definately trumps TIME Magazine's choice.

I totally agree! My husband worked Christmas Eve & Christmas Day. The kids and I went to DFW Airport Christmas Day to welcome our troops returning for two weeks of R&R from Iraq/Afganstain. What a blessing to US to tell them THANK YOU for protecting freedom. I pray my children will always live with grateful hearts in a land that is free!
