This afternoon, about 4:30pm, there was a 7.2 earthquake in Puerto Prince, Haiti. This is a devastating earthquake for a country as poor and broken as Haiti. We have several of our church family serving as missionaries in Haiti. They are in Les Cayes on the western peninsula and are safe. One of them called today to let us know they are unhurt, but there will be thousands dead and hurting on this impoverished island. Having been there many times I am praying for the people of this country. I'm very grateful that our friends there are safe.
