Just a mile from our church a young pastor has been serving God and building a church that has caught international attention. Now we hear that the tumor they removed from his brain last week was cancer and they weren't able to get it all.

It's a difficult day for Matt Chandler, his family as well as for his church. I have run into Matt often at our local coffee haunt. He's a dynamic young man who has built a large and vibrant church. This news and the days ahead will be difficult for Matt, his family and his church. I'll be praying for them all. I'm praying for his healing, but I'm also praying that God will work through all of these events for Matt's good and God's glory.
