Isaiah 9:6-7
...For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
...and the government will be on his shoulders.
...
King Jesus. A title we don't use often. A thought and reality we haven't seen yet, but there is, at this very moment, a man sitting on the throne of heaven ruling over all of creation. He is King of eternity. He is Jesus. We don't see his rule in our world right now, but one day we will. He rules over all the affairs of the universe and one day soon all will bow to his lordship. The promise of this eternal king, this glorious God ruling the affairs of men seems oppressive to many, but to those who know him it's a reality we await with joy. Jesus, king of everything? He is king now and I can't wait for his kingdom to be established here as well. Come, King Jesus.
