Something to hold onto

7 "But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him.

8 He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes;
its leaves are always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought
and never fails to bear fruit." Jeremiah 17:7--8

Do you think Jeremiah was thinking of Psalm 1 when he penned Jeremiah 17:7-8?

Yes, without a doubt I think Jeremiah was thinking of Psalm 1 as he wrote these words. It's interesting how the words of a godly man before them helped even in their day. Imagine that more than 2,500 years ago Psalm 1 was helping men and women deal with the problems of life. It's an awesome thought to me.
