A feast is coming!

"Then he said to me, “Write, ‘Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.’”

Revelation 19

I don't know about you, but I love food!

But more than that I love the promise this brief proclamation declares...a feast is coming!

Isaiah tells of it in chapter 25,

“The Lord of hosts will prepare a lavish banquet for all peoples on this mountain;

A banquet of aged wine,  choice pieces with marrow,

And refined, aged wine.

And on this mountain He will swallow up the covering which is over all peoples,

Even the veil which is stretched over all nations.

 He will swallow up death for all time,

And the Lord God will wipe tears away from all faces,

And He will remove the reproach of His people from all the earth;

For the Lord has spoken.

And it will be said in that day,

“Behold, this is our God for whom we have waited that He might save us.

This is the Lord for whom we have waited;

Let us rejoice and be glad in His salvation.”

Can you imagine it?  A day when we will sit at a banquet with all the saints of the ages, great men and women of faith, with Jesus at the head of the table.

It will be a feast like no other!

It will be the victory feast of the Lamb of God

A victory finally fulfilled

A victory over

sin, death, pain, suffering, and all that man has done to man.

A feast is coming

Do you have your invitation yet?

Because there are two meals ahead, the feast of the Lamb

and

the banquet of the birds.

You do want to be at the first one

You don't want to be part of the second.
